Peta Murgatroyd (born Peta Jane Murgatroyd in Auckland, New Zealand on 14 July 1986) is an New Zealand/Australian professional dancer and choreographer. She is trained in ballet, Contemporary and Spanish dance. After she began ballroom dancing, she quickly became an Australian State Champion within 3 months, leading her to move to London to further her career. She was a part of the Burn The Floor world tour in 2004. In 2009, she performed with Burn The Floor as the lead female dancer on Broadway.
